How can you apply for a Digital Health ID Card?
The process for applying for a digital health ID Card is not a complex one.
- The first step is to visit the official website for National Digital Health Mission.
- You need to scroll down the website page to find the Health ID Section.
- Once you find the option, you need to create a health ID by clicking on Create Health ID option.
- After you click on the option, you will be redirected to a different page with three log-in options- Via Aadhaar, If you don’t want to use Aadhaar or you don’t have Aadhaar Or Registered Users
- You have to click on the first option if you wish to create your health ID with the Aadhaar option.
- Then, you need to put in the 12-digit Aadhaar number and complete the process as directed to get your Health ID Created.

- Creating a Health ID, a randomly generated 14-digit number is mandatory if a person is willing to become a part of the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission. This ID is used for identification, authentication and for threading the health records of the beneficiary.
- The beneficiary has to keep in mind that a PHR address has to be set up for consent management, relating to future sharing of health records.
- A PHR address is a self-declared username that has to be signed by the beneficiary into a Health Information Exchange and Consent Manager (HIE-CM).
- An HIE-CM is an app that helps for sharing and linking the user’s health and personal records.
- The Health ID under NDHM charges no amount and is free and voluntary. With access to this health care app, it is just a click away for the citizens for health care.
